For Parents

Our Center Goals:

  • Provide a warm, nurturing environment in which the child's individuality is recognized and supported by a loving and caring staff. This care includes the opportunities for physical, emotional, social and intellectual growth.
  • Provide a challenging and individualized curriculum that encourages the child's creativity and love of learning. Our developmental program includes language, literacy, math, science, music and art.
  • Provide a wide variety of experiences, which include field trips, computers, foreign language and special programs such as puppeteers, musicians, and theater groups.
  • Provide an open door policy in order to include our families and the community in the educational process.
  • Establish a safe and supportive learning environment, which accepts and respects diversity.
  • Promote character building, problem solving skills, manners and social etiquette.
  • Foster the child's feeling of self-esteem and self-worth.

 

What Parents Should Do:

  • When picking up or dropping off children, parents and/or guardians must turn off the motor of their car and escort child into their classroom.
  • Provide proper documentation of any custody orders/ visitation agreements.
  • Provide a birth certificate and up to date immunization/physical records.
  • Pick ill children up within one hour of notification from director and adhere to the 24 hour policy before the child returns. A doctor's note may be required.
  • Provide emergency contact information and updating as needed.
  • Pay weekly tuition and other fees in a timely manner. A late fee of $25 will be applied to all accounts that are not paid by Wednesday of each week.
  • Provide a two-week notice in writing, if it becomes necessary to withraw their child.
  • Provide assistance in completing assessments and attending teacher conferences.
  • Show interest in the projects that your child brings home.
  • Maintain open communication with the Director and staff, letting them know how they can best help your child grow.
  • Volunteer to read stories to the class.
  • Be a field trip chaperone.
  • Share your occupation or travels with a class.
  • Share cultural information or special talents.
  • Construct games for classroom use.
  • Visit the school at any time during the day- come for lunch!
